Tonight for the 4:15 and 5:30 class, we grabbed kettlebells and worked out on the street! The weather was fantastic and Em said, "it's too nice to be indoors..." So we grabbed kettlebells and on the fly figured out a great routine! My whole body is sore today! I figured that working out while walking had to of burned some extra calories! Thanks girls! I love being able to switch things up and have a blast doing it!
Today, I've already received two texts from gals feeling the pain in the rear...litterally! At 5:30 class, we worked the glutes and today we can all feel it! You know what that means? Tomorrow it's gonna be worse. I wasn't sure what was worse this morning, the pain in the butt or the pain in the back from 2 sets of push up/sit up challenge... I guess it doesn't matter what hurts better - it matters that we put the work in!
Feeling the burn a day (or 2) after is a sure sign of dedication and effort. I am proud of each and every one of you gals who think of Body by WM today when sitting down. Like I say all the time, someone will thank you for the work you put into your butt - it might just be YOU - looking at YOU in the mirror!
This morning, I woke up in Madison and ran the Menona 20k. How far is a 20k? 12.4 miles. Just a smidge shorter than a 1/2 marathon. The run went well. I finished in 2:10.
I ran some, and walked some. But I thought about tons of things, and at many times, I thought about my exercise girls. I pushed harder thinking of you all. You inspire me to do my best - and for that - I thank you very much. I hear a song and think of your pretty faces pushing through class. Or when I saw a spectator smiling at me, I thought of when we exchange smiles at class. You girls bless my heart and push me to do things I set out to do. For that I thank you! Happy Saturday! Tonight, we tried a new HIIT routine. Our usual "high intensity interval training" is bursts of exercises with little rest.
Our "regular" HIIT circuit consists of 8 exercises and we push each one for 30 seconds with only 30 seconds rest after completing one round. And we repeat it 3 times equaling 13 and a 1/2 minutes.
But we did TABATA tonight which is a training technique used by the Japanese to train their Olympic speed skaters!
It's 10 exercises. Each exercise is done for 20 seconds/10 seconds rest and repeat 3 times. So we did 30 exercises equalling 15 minutes. IT WAS INTENSE! I was shocked at how hard it was! It was so hard, I will make a few "tweeks" to Thursday's circuit.

There were a total of 19 ladies that showed up and brought some hard work out between both group classes. I want you to know, if you have been thinking of coming to either the Low Impact or the Body Resistance Classes, please join us! There is NO ONE who will judge you when you walk through the door. There is NO ONE there who will make you feel bad. ALL the girls that work out are proud of each other. We do not compete with each other, we compete with OURSELVES. We all come to class to better ourselves, to be better than who we were yesterday. I appreciate each and every one of you who walk through the door smelling all pretty and leaving with sweaty hair, stinky arm pits, and shaking muscles. It means that you brought it! I means that you put forth more effort than you would have alone in your own home. It means that you value your life and your body. I challenge anyone reading this to come to class. I teach Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:15 Low Impact, and 5:30 Body Resistance classes. They are each $5 and worth every cent! 9 ladies came out for the 4:15 low impact class! We used the new aerobic weights and did some arms! My ladies are going to look amazing in summer clothes when the weather warms up! Oh and sorry I lied and said it wouldn't snow again. I was wrong! It will warm up this weekend! Class number 2 here I come! Come and join us at 5:30 for the next class! -Amy
